Somatic Coach for Grief

1:1 somatic support for grief:

In the aftermath of loss, your body holds onto memories, emotions, and trauma. It's time to listen to what it's telling you. Our Somatic Grief Coaching is designed to guide you back to yourself, helping you support your grief trauma from the inside out.

Our Approach:

Grief isn't just an emotion; it's a physical experience. Our unique somatic approach helps you:

  • Resourcing: Harnessing inner and outer strengths to re-establish stable foundations and internal safety.

  • Processing: Delving into emotions and bodily sensations to understand and address the pain of loss.

  • Integration: Merging insights and experiences to build a cohesive, empowered path forward post-loss.

I am Kayleigh O’Connor, an ICF accredited trauma-informed grief coach and integrative trauma practitioner with over 6 years of experience helping people to rebuild their life after loss.

With a holistic blend of somatic resourcing, processing, and integration techniques, my mission is to empower you to find a renewed sense of safety, security, and self-confidence. I am here to help you to understand your grief, unravel the layers of emotion, uncover the secondary losses you’re facing (loss of self, loss of confidence, loss of trust etc.), and to help you to hold space for your loved one, so that you can move forward with your grief.

I combine Somatic Work, Holistic Grief Coaching, ACT techniques, mind and body synergies, self reflection tools and draw on my own personal experience with grief to deliver an empowering and tailored grief coaching service.

A grief coach who gets it:

Hello, I’m Kayleigh O’Connor, ICF accredited grief coach and integrative trauma practitioner. I'm the founder of Good Grief, and it's my aim to facilitate safe spaces for people who are grieving. I lost my dad when I was 15, and after years of numbing my grief with shopping, spending and booze, I realised through another loss, that I wanted to get to know my grief and listen to what I truly needed instead of running away from it. So Good Grief was born!

I've helped thousands of people across the world through transformative coaching, breathwork, inner-work, meditation, and restorative practices, to find ways to move forward with their lives whilst carrying their loved one with them.

I'm here to guide you back home to yourself, so that you can find meaning in your life after loss, and create an everlasting spiritual relationship with your loved one.

My qualifications:

Holistic Grief Coaching, Integrative Trauma Practitioner, Grief Movement Coach, Mind and Body Synergies for Grief, Transformation Coaching, Spiritual Coaching, CBT Anxiety Management, NLP (qualifying), Timeline Therapy (qualifying), and ACT for grief.

Client feedback:

“Kayleigh has made a huge difference to the way I approach my grief by helping me understand the physical and emotional effects I was feeling a year on. She took the time to show me practical examples and guided me through tools to help manage my own grief better. Kayleigh helped me to identify triggers that I had overlooked and enabled me to hold space for Dad in a way that I previously would not have allowed myself to think of him for fear of worsening the feelings of loss. The sessions have allowed me to improve how I live with grief, for which I will always be grateful.”

“Kayleigh has such a special aura about her which I cherish as a grief coach. If I am approaching a session feeling tense or my mind feels ‘scatty’, within a few minutes of the session or at least by the end of the session, I feel calm and collected. I genuinely look forward to my sessions with Kayleigh and she is a rock in my grief journey. Thank you so much”

“Kayleigh created a safe space where I could be open and honest about my experience of sudden loss, shock and grief. I was able to express all the emotions I wasn’t able to share with my dad due to the suddenness of his passing. Investing in grief coaching at this time was hugely beneficial and I am really glad I did it. It helped me a lot on my grief journey.”

“Kayleigh supported me with grief at a time when I felt completely lost and taught me skills to use when I felt overwhelmed and exercised to maintain a connection and process my feelings. The sessions really helped and I was able to achieve and maintain the goals I set initially”

“I’ve felt a massive shift since working with Kayleigh. I now realise that I need to see myself with more compassion and patience, instead of judgement and hate. I’m less anxious and more connected to my dad”

— Katie

“This is such a safe container to really understand yourself. I came to Kayleigh after 3 years of grieving alone. I had created a very negative relationship with myself, and was constantly comparing myself to others and just feeling inadequate. I am now in a place of acknowledgement and acceptance with myself.”

— J.L
