Hello, I’m Kayleigh. I'm the founder of Good Grief, and it's my aim to facilitate safe spaces for people who are grieving. I lost my dad when I was 15, and after years of numbing my grief with shopping, spending and booze, I realised through another loss, that I wanted to get to know my grief and listen to what I truly needed instead of running away from it. So Good Grief was born!
Have you lost all confidence, all faith, all trust, all sense of safety since losing them?
This is one of the unspoken side effects of grief and one I know to be so difficult. When I lost my dad I didn’t initially realise how losing him would affect my ability to self validate or feel confident long-term. In fact I only really realised that some of my anxiety and low self-esteem was related to the loss of my dad some years later.
When you think about it it’s not rocket science, losing someone who made you feel safe, who had your back, who gave you advice when you needed it, who was honest with you when you were wrong, who taught you so much- losing someone like that is bound to have a knock-on effect on your ability to know who you are and trust yourself or others.
I have met so many other people (friends, clients, members), who know this feeling all too well. Can you relate?
In this free workshop, I will share the system that I have developed to help myself and my clients with re-establishing safety in their lives after losing the person who made them feel safe the most.
